Arrival by car
Mannheim is situated close to the freeways A5 and A6. From the freeway junction "Mannheim" on the A6 take the exit "Mannheim City" (Mannheim Stadtmitte), and then follow the signs towards the train station (Hauptbahnhof) and University (Universität). The road will lead you into the city, passing the train station on your left. 700 m after the train station you will see the castle, which is the university. You have to turn left there. You will find a parking lot in front of the eastern wing of the castle which is the first part you will see coming from the train station.
Exit the parking lot by the gate you came in, cross the tram rails by the light, and enter the garden of the first old villa on the right-hand side (L 5, 6).
If you are on freeway A5, follow the signs towards Mannheim City, and proceed according to the directions indicated above.

Arrival by train
Mannheim can easily be reached by Inter-City-Express-trains (ICE) or various other trains. Leaving the train station, you will have to go straight to the major road intersection you will see ahead of you. Please turn left into the Bismarckstrasse and after about 600 meters, just before the castle comes into view, you will find a low-traffic street on left-hand side. L 5, 6 is the first building.

Arrival by plane
Frankfurt International Airport Rhein-Main
You may continue by train (ICE), Lufthansa Bus Shuttle or by car:

• The new ICE train station is located across Terminal 1, Concourse B. Follow signs for DB Long Distance Train Station (Fernbahnhof). Direct trains to Mannheim leave every hour at 56 minutes past the hour (xx.56) and most time of the day also 20 minutes past the hour (xx.20). The journey takes 31 minutes.
• Lufthansa Bus Shuttle from Frankfurt International Airport to Dorint Hotel Mannheim is operated regularly, approximately on an hourly basis (in the evening: full hours). The journey takes about one hour.

Cirrus Air flies daily from Berlin/Tempelhof or from Hamburg to Mannheim/Neuostheim.
