Mannheim is situated close to the freeways A5 and A6. From the freeway junction "Mannheim" on the A6 take the exit "Mannheim City" (Mannheim Stadtmitte), and then follow the signs towards the train station (Hauptbahnhof) and University (Universität). The road will lead you into the city, passing the train station on your left. 700 m after the train station you will see the palace, which is the university.
If you are on freeway A5, follow the signs towards Mannheim City, and proceed according to the directions indicated above.
Mannheim can easily be reached by Inter-City-Express-trains (ICE) or various other trains. Leaving the train station, you will have to go straight to the major road intersection you will see ahead of you. Please turn left into the Bismarckstrasse and after about 600 meters, just before the palace comes into view, you will find a low-traffic street on left-hand side. L 5, 6 is the first building.
