
Professor Homburg's research activities focus on market-oriented management, marketing organization, strategic marketing, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. He is director of the Institute for Market-Oriented Management (IMU) at the University and President of Mannheim Business School. In November 2005, the German Handelsblatt nominated him in a ranking with a great advantage to the best German professor in the field of business administration. Professor Homburg has won 15 high-ranking academic awards in the USA. Among others, he has received the "Overall Best Paper" at the conferences of the American Marketing Association (AMA) four times within ten years.

Before joining the University of Mannheim in September 2005, Professor Kuester previously served on the faculty at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, preceded by an appointment as Assistant Professor of Marketing at ESSEC Graduate School of Management in France. She has lectured at various other business schools including London School of Economics, Singapore Institute of Management, and in connection with SDA Bocconi. Sabine Kuester received her Ph.D. in Marketing at the London Business School in England. Her research interest is in competitive marketing strategy, technology marketing, international marketing, and marketing management.
