1. Handelsblatt Executive Education Congress
& Fair, November 8, 2011 We are pleased to announce
that Mannheim Business School will for the first time host the Executive
Education Congress & Fair on November 8, 2011. The event has been
developed by Handelsblatt to serve as an interaction platform for HR
executives and representatives of selected leading business schools. Among
others, University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Tuck School of
Business at Dartmouth, Oxford Said Business School and IE Business School
will attend this exclusive congress.

2. Return, Remember, Reconnect: Annual MBS Alumni
Homecoming, November 26, 2011 By now our signature alumni
event, the annual MBS Alumni Homecoming, has become a well-established
tradition. This year’s event is scheduled to take place in the splendid
Knights’ Hall of Mannheim Castle on Saturday, November 26, 2010, and we
are very excited to welcome Antonio Schnieder, Chairman of the Supervisory
Board, Capgemini Deutschland GmbH, President of the Association of German
Management Consultants (BDU), as keynote speaker of the evening. |

3. Professor von Thadden Receives Excellence in Teaching
Award
We congratulate our faculty member Professor Dr. Ernst-Ludwig von
Thadden who has been awarded this year’s Excellence in Executive Teaching
Award. The annual prize is awarded to faculty members who have excelled in
teaching and/or commitment for Mannheim Business School and its programs
in the last years. Recent awardees have been Professor Dr. Sabine Kuester
(2008), Professor Dr. Christoph Spengel (2009), and Professor Dr. Manfred
Perlitz (2010).
Professor von Thadden has been teaching at Mannheim Business School
since 2004. He is Professor for Economics and Finance at Mannheim
University’s highly renowned Department of Economics which was recently
ranked # 1 in the German speaking region in the Handelsblatt
research ranking.

4. Mannheim Climbs Up in FT Masters in Management Ranking
In this year’s international “Masters in Management
Ranking” by the Financial Times, the University of Mannheim Business
School holds rank 11. It has thus gained two ranks in comparison to last
year’s result. The category “Value for Money” has once again been highly
rated: The relation of alumni salaries three years after graduation and
study costs is ranked second best of all participating institutions.
Moreover, Mannheim holds a number 1 position in accountancy and marketing
and is ranked among the top ten in finance and statistics.

1. MANNHEIM & TONGJI Executive MBA: Last Chance to Profit from
Reduced Tuition Fee of € 29,900 From November 9 -19, the upcoming module of the MANNHEIM
& TONGJI Executive MBA will take place in Shanghai and focuses on
People Skills. The next module in Mannheim will be from January 8 - 18.
The focus of the so-called Strategy Module will be on Strategic
Management, Industry & Competition Analysis and Entrepreneurship. In
addition, there will be a soft skill course to enhance participants’
public speaking and presentation skills.
Due to the highly flexible
design of the program, it is possible to start the Executive MBA with each
one of its six modules. We therefore operate on a rolling admissions basis
and accept applications throughout the entire year. Please note that our
reduced tuition fee of € 29,900 is only valid for a start in 2011. From
2012 on, the tuition fee will amount to € 38,000.The different modules of
the EMBA program are also open for individual enrollment, if you wish to
participate in selected courses or modules only.

2. Mannheim Master of Accounting & Taxation: Open Day, October
22, 2011 Learn more about
Mannheim Business School and the Mannheim Master of Accounting &
Taxation program on Saturday, October 22, 2011, from 12.30 am to 5 pm.
In order to give you an impression of what participants can expect
from the program, Prof. Dr. Christoph Spengel, Academic Director MaMAT,
Taxation Track, will hold a talk on issues arising from a "Common
Consolidated Corporate Tax Base (CCCTB)". A presentation by Prof. Dr.
Wüstemann, President of Mannheim Business School and Academic Director
MaMAT, Accounting Track, will provide you with more information on the
unique characteristics of our school and the MaMAT program. Following the
presentations, you will have the opportunity to get to know and to ask
questions to Mannheim Business School faculty, staff as well as alumni and
participants of both the Accounting and the Taxation Track.

3. Executive MBA Programs: Open Day, November 5, 2011
Recruitment for the next ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive
MBA class (weekend format), which will start in April of 2012, has begun.

4. Full-Time MBA: Open Day, November 5,

School and our highly international accelerated one-year full-time MBA

5. Graduation Mannheim MBA Class of
2011 On September 9, 2011, the graduation ceremony for the
Mannheim MBA Class of 2011 took place at the Knights’ Hall of Mannheim
castle, bringing together graduates, families and friends to celebrate
their achievements. The inspirational keynote speech was held by Dr.
Werner Brandt, CFO SAP AG. We congratulate all successful participants who
were awarded their MBA diploma and invite them to become active members of
our growing alumni network.
We would also like to welcome the 54 participants, who started the
Mannheim MBA program on Monday, September 12, 2011. We wish them a great
start and a wonderful learning experience here in Mannheim. |

6. International Residencies at Mannheim Business School On
September 19, Mannheim Business School welcomed Executive MBA students
from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia, for their
International Week 2011 in Mannheim. During their five-day visit, the
participants gained valuable insights into topics such as “European
Monetary Policy in a Global Environment” and “International Management
from a German Perspective”. The residency also included company visits to
the European Central Bank, to BASF and Deere & Company as well as
social activities such as a wine tasting and tours of the Mannheim and
Heidelberg castles.
