Renaissance of the Baroque Castle: Grand Opening of the MBS Lecture Hall

A mere year after opening its Education Center at Dalbergplatz, students, staff and friends of Mannheim Business School celebrated the Grand Opening of the new MBS Lecture Hall on September 18, 2009.

As guest of honor Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Christian Homburg, President of Mannheim Business School, welcomed Dr. Georg Müller, CEO of MVV Energie AG, whose company significantly supported Mannheim Business School in this latest endeavour. Dr. Müller, who is also a member of the school's board of trustees, delivered the evening's keynote speech, discussing "Entrepreneurial challenges in a rapidly changing energy market".

Located in the Ehrenhof east wing of Mannheim Castle, the premises of the new MBS Lecture Hall are clearly one of the gems of Mannheim Castle, one of Europe's largest baroque castles. They consist of an amphitheater, seating 80 people, and six breakout rooms. Having undergone extensive reconstruction, the facilities are now furnished with the latest technology and provide an ideal learning environment.
