The Mexican business journal Expansión includes Mannheim in its ranking of the top business schools worldwide for the first time and places it in 44th position Praise for dynamism, internationality and research quality of Mannheim's executive education
The renowned Mexican business journal Expansión has included Mannheim Business School with its full-time MBA program for the first time in its ranking of the top 50 leading business schools worldwide. This is the first time the Mannheim full-time MBA makes it to a ranking which is published outside Germany.
"Thanks to its dynamism, internationality and research quality, Mannheim Business School is the best choice for an MBA in Germany," states Expansión in its MBA special. The ranking evaluation is based, among other things, on the number of applicants per study position available, starting salary after graduation, the number of foreign students and countries represented in the full-time MBA program, as well as the academic achievements of the business schools. "This ranking is proof that we are considered among the top providers internationally despite the still small class sizes. By sustaining our growth and consistent quality management we will continue to improve our position," assures Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. Christian Homburg, President of Mannheim Business School. Mexico is a very important market when it comes to MBAs: "We have kept track of the rising demand in this country and have already recruited very good Mexican students," explains President Homburg.
The Expansión ranking is not the first international ranking to document the high performance of Mannheim Business School: In the Financial Time's ranking of the world's best Executive MBA programs the part-time "ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA", which is offered together with elite French institution ESSEC, came in 31st at first go and even placed among the top ten in the categories of "Career Progress", "Aims Achieved/Customer Satisfaction", and "Internationality of the Curriculum". In addition, in July 2006, the journal karriere (Handelsblatt publishing group) published its ranking of the leading European business schools. Mannheim was by far the best German institution and achieved ninth place overall.
