The Mannheim Business School is among the ten best business schools in Europe. It is ranked on 31st place worldwide and is the undisputed leader in Germany. This is the result of the MBA ranking by the Latin American business magazine América Economía.
The ranking is considered by the Spanish-speaking countries of Central and South America as well as Brazil as the most renowned listing of schools offering an MBA. It is also regarded as an important guide for both MBA prospects and companies. Only a total of 50 institutions per year make the worldwide ranking that is based on an evaluation of data from full-time MBA programs. This was the first time the Mannheim Business School made the list. Only two additional German institutions were considered, but they landed behind Mannheim.
"It is our stated goal to establish ourselves more closely to the European top league in the near future and to be among the top MBA schools worldwide. This ranking is further proof that we are on the right track," explains Professor Dr. Christian Homburg, President of the Mannheim Business School. "A significant portion of our full-time MBA students come from Latin America. For this reason, it's very nice to see that we are greatly appreciated in this region," says Homburg.
Making the América Economía ranking isn't Mannheim Business School's first success on an international level. The ESSEC & MANNHEIM Executive MBA came in 26th place in the Financial Times top catalogue of Executive MBA programs in October and received a top-ten ranking in the categories "career progress" as well as "international course experience". In its 2008 ranking, the Mexican economics magazine Expansión listed the Mannheim Business School as among the top 50 MBA schools in the world for the second time. In nearly all German national rankings, Mannheim is the clear leader for many years (e.g. Wirtschaftswoche, Handelsblatt, Focus).
