On March 21st, 2009, Mr Souillard –the Executive Director of Carrefour France, family and friends, - as well as ESSEC faculty and staff came together at the "Cercle National des Armées" in Paris to attend the graduation ceremony for the ESSEC participants of the ESSEC & Mannheim Executive Weekend MBA Class of 2008.
It was a great opportunity for the ESSEC Faculty and the EMBA team to congratulate all of them as they have worked very hard and they deserve a lot of credit for their great accomplishment.
In his speech Mr Souillard, the Executive Director of Carrefour France, congratulated the graduates on their courage and their ability over the past 2 years to face the challenge to be back to school and as the same time dealing with their job and their family. He feels confident in their future as they proved their motivation and capabilities trough difficult and challenging periods.
Then, one of the new graduates, Isabelle Villey took the opportunity of the ceremony to offer the funds arisen during their class project - a forum that focused on training and professional integration in the workforce for the visually handicapped in October 2008- to a project for visually handicapped people selected by the class.
To conclude the ceremony, the Class speakers Graduates Bruno Chataigner and Patrick Derderian gave us an inside view and anecdotes on the ESSEC & MANNHEIM executive MBA experience: international seminar in Singapore, the courses and teachers, but above all they remind us the friendly atmosphere of the class during the EMBA class for the past 18 months.
So once more, congratulations to all 26 successful participants on their graduation. Good luck in the future! We are glad to welcome them in the worldwide alumni network of ESSEC.
