The "Wirtschaftsprüferordnung (WPO)" (German law regulating the profession of German public auditors) has introduced a further possibility for admission to the profession "Wirtschaftsprüfer" (German public auditor). Completion of a program of study accredited pursuant to Sec. 8a WPO entitles anyone to take the public auditor exam. The areas of business law, applied business studies and economics are no longer examined.
