Application Process at a Glance

  • 1. Download and fill out the Mannheim MBA application form
    For your application you should fill out the application form. Complete the application form fully and accurately. Send it back to Mannheim Business School together with all the following required documents:

    • Photo and CV
    • Letter of motivation (1 page)
    • Certified transcripts of grades, degrees and diploma
    • Original GMAT, TOEFL, IELTS or equivalent scores and certificates
      A TOEFL score of 105 (internet-based) or 260 (computer-based) is required. The equivalent IELTS score is 7.0. Test score reports should be sent to Mannheim Business School (Ref. No. 8860).
      The TOEFL request can be waived if you graduated from an English speaking university in an English speaking country (for example, Canada, the UK, Australia or New Zealand).
      Due to changes in visa regulations introduced in January 2008, applicants from the Republic of India will also have to take either the TOEFL or IELTS in order to obtain a visa permit.
      Also the test results to be handed in should not be older than one year.
    • Two letters of reference
    • APS certificate (for applicants from China)
  • 2. Pre-Selection by the Admissions Committee
    Once your application has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee, who will invite selected candidates for a first personal contact via web-cam or phone. During this conversation with the Admissions Manager you should give us a convincing overview of your personality, your major achievements and your future plans. Of course, you will have the opportunity to ask questions. The talk is held in English. You will get informed about whether you will be invited to the selection interview within the following days.
    In case of invitation you will receive a little case study which we request you to work on for the interview.
  • 3. Selection Interview & Final Decision
    Selected candidates will have a selection interview with the Program Director. During this interview (personal, web-cam or phone) applicants will have to show their professionalism, skills and objectives to do an MBA at Mannheim Business School.
  • 4. Admission
    The final decision as to whether you will be one of next year's Mannheimers will be revealed shortly after the selection interview. Being admitted you will receive our acceptance letter along with the agreement.
