Mannheim Master of Accounting & Taxation

Mannheim Master of Accounting & Taxation: Starting Point for Your Career in Accounting or Taxation

The Mannheim Master of Accounting & Taxation aims to provide young professionals in the fields of accounting and taxation with the theoretical basis as well as the practical skills necessary to successfully meet the demands of their business. One of the program's key characteristics is the close and multi-levelled collaboration not only with the so-called "Big Four", but with other companies and institution as well.

Both tracks, Accounting and Taxation, are offered in a modular format, with an overall program duration of three years. The Taxation track starts with a six-week on-boarding module that will equip participants with the basic skills and knowledge they need to successfully kick-start their careers in the field of taxation. Later modules are designed to further deepen as well as broaden participants' knowledge base, so as to provide them with an in-depth specialized knowledge of both national and international taxation. The Accounting Track is accredited by AQAS according to § 8a WPO.

The part-time degree program

  • will open doors for you to the increasingly international and complex world of accounting and tax advisory.
  • offers both academic excellence and relevance to practice.
  • equips you with the necessary knowledge and skill set to successfully advance your career in accounting or tax advisory.
  • constitutes the ideal preparation for the exams required to become a "Wirtschaftsprüfer" (German public auditor) or a "Steuerberater" (tax advisor).
  • qualifies students of the Accounting Track upon successful completion to apply for exemption from major parts of their professional exam (business law, applied business studies and economics).
  • provides students of the Taxation Track with basic skills and knowledge during the six-week on-boarding module.
