Bloomberg Businessweek Ranking Confirms Mannheim's Leading Position in the German-Speaking Countries

2017 was a remarkable year for Mannheim Business School (MBS): the international MBA ranking of the US magazine Bloomberg Businessweek has now confirmed the Financial Times, the Economist and Forbes ranking results published throughout the year. For the first time, Mannheim is not only consistently the number one MBA program of all German-speaking countries in the four major international rankings, but is also always among the top 20 in Europe and the top 60 worldwide.

With its improvement from 20th to 14th place, MBS made the largest leap forward of the 31 institutions outside the USA that were considered for the ranking. The yearly Bloomberg Businessweek ranking is mainly based on surveys of current students, alumni, and recruiters, as well as the previous year’s graduates that secured full-time employment within three months of graduation and their average starting salaries.

“We are very proud of our placements in this year’s international rankings. These demonstrate that Mannheim is a strong brand on the international market for management education. This is a great incentive for us all – faculty, students, and staff – to continue improving in all areas,” underlines MBS President Professor Dr. Jens Wüstemann.

There are currently 54 participants from 23 countries honing their skills for successful careers in the one-year full-time Mannheim MBA program, which has been offered since 2002 and assessed for the MBA rankings. The program, which has also been offered as a two-year part-time program since 2013, is aimed at graduates spanning all disciplines and having at least three years’ professional experience. A number of Mannheim MBA alumni, meanwhile, hold executive positions in renowned companies.
