Forbes MBA ranking: Mannheim Business School Among the International Top 10

Mannheim Business School has made an impressive debut in US-magazine Forbes' MBA ranking: the newcomer, the only German provider in the ranking for one-year full-time MBA degree programs outside the US, has been ranked #8. This makes Mannheim Business School the first institution from a German-speaking country to appear in the four major MBA rankings, which include the Financial Times, The Economist, and Bloomberg Businessweek apart from Forbes.

The central measure in Forbes’ ranking, which is issued biennially, is the return on investment for graduates of the respective MBA programs. This is calculated by deducting the opportunity costs, such as tuition fees and lost earnings, from the average salary of graduates five years after graduation and then comparing the result to the salary they would have expected had they remained in their jobs and not completed an MBA program to further their education. This clearly indicates how quickly the MBA  programs of leading international institutions pay off for their alumni. According to Forbes, participants of the Mannheim MBA can amortize their program over a period of 3 years on average.

“There is probably no better investment than that in your own education. We are delighted that, with this impressive ranking, Forbes has confirmed that the Mannheim MBA is an excellent choice for all those who wish to develop their professional and personal management skills,” says Professor Dr. Jens Wüstemann, President of Mannheim Business School. There are currently 54 participants from 23 countries in the one-year full-time Mannheim MBA program, which has been offered since 2002 and assessed for this ranking, honing their skills for successful careers. The program, which has also been offered as a two-year part-time program since 2013, is intended for graduates spanning all disciplines, having at least three years’ professional experience. A number of Mannheim MBA alumni meanwhile hold top management positions in renowned international industrial or consulting companies.
