It is the first appearance of the 29-year-old striker of the German Bundesliga team Mannheimer HC in the national squad. “To compete in a world cup in your home country is the best thing that can happen to you. Without any doubt, this will be the highlight of my career”, says Fabian, who will complete the Mannheim MBA in September, on the tournament’s official website. Like the soccer team in Brazil last year, the German indoor hockey squad is heading for its 4th world cup title and is considered the favorite among the 12 participating teams from all around the globe.

All Mannheimers are keeping their fingers crossed for Fabian and we hope that we will have a true world champion among our participants soon! Go, get the cup!
