It is time for a change: Women are equal to men in the eyes of the law and possess equivalent or even higher educational qualifications, skills and leadership competences. However, they still remain underrepresented in management. The causes for this are varied and complex, reflecting the general conditions for reconciling family and career, the lacking role models and the unconscious biases ingrained in corporate culture. Let us change this, starting with you! Our part-time program will enable you to break the boundaries, develop an authentic leadership identity, hone your strengths and prepare for the next step in your career.

Course Overview and Schedule

Courses

  • Strategic Leadership from a Female Perspective; Reflections on Female Leadership

During this course, you will explore the qualities of successful leadership and discover the unique characteristics that contribute to your authentic leadership. Immersed in a transformative learning experience, you will define and chart a course to your authentic leadership by (re-)defining and developing your leadership identity, honing your leadership skills and preparing yourself to lead in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous business environment.

Upon completion, you will be able to:

    • Develop a clear understanding of your inherent leadership identity, strengths, weaknesses and core values, and how to leverage them to effectively lead yourself and others.
    • Gain insights into what science knows about effective leadership and high-performing teams.
    • Recognize and overcome the unique challenges that women in leadership positions face, and develop strategies to navigate these obstacles.
    • Build your confidence as a leader and enhance your communication and collaboration skills to effectively influence and inspire your teams.
    • Understand the importance of work–life integration and develop strategies to balance your personal and professional responsibilities.
  • Customer Centricity

This course will enable you to:

    • Understand the role of the customer for effective marketing programs.
    • Design customer-centric value propositions that will help in gaining a competitive advantage in the market.
    • Align products and services with customer needs and enhance the customer journey.
  • The Twin Transformation: Why Data and Sustainability have to be Combined

While companies have managed to overcome the disruption triggered by the pandemic, digitalization has become an integral part of their responses and roadmaps for the future. Looking ahead to next year, it is clear that digital technologies will continue to play a critical role in corporate strategy and success. A comprehensive digital transformation not only enables a company to work faster and more efficiently, but can also change the perception of how companies solve problems.

Companies are simultaneously facing the crucial challenge of designing and transforming their business models to be more sustainable, comprehensive and flexible. However, these global trends are neither an option nor a choice for one or the other. Digital transformation and sustainability go hand in hand. Today, digital transformation and sustainability are becoming mainstream trends in modern business. Digital transformation will help companies make sustainable investment decisions and build and develop ESG datasets in a methodical manner. In turn, disclosure of the company’s ESG datasets will lead to better long-term results than the competition.

This module will specifically provide you with an all-around perspective of digital and sustainable transformation, and learn how to leverage it to become a disruptor in the industry.

    • Dealing with Disruption: Recognize and define disruption in its various forms and learn common disruption strategies.
    • Business Models: Identify and design digital and sustainable business models to create value.
    • Ecosystem Evolution: Examine the importance of ecosystems from different viewpoints and learn how to predict the evolution of new ecosystems.
  • Financial Strategy & Value-based Management

Value-based management is a management approach that puts a company’s value at the center of all management decisions and activities. The course will deliver a detailed overview of value creation but, rather than focusing on conventional performance metrics, it will provide a holistic view and additional knowledge on what drives value creation.

This course also includes financial accounting and reporting from a leadership perspective, enabling participants to understand the link between external reporting and internal decision-making.

Workshops

  • Team Building

An important element of the first module of the Female Leadership Accelerator program is to establish a sense of belonging and psychological safety within the team of participants. This will create enablers of each individual participant’s development and the whole team’s ability to engage in open and honest sparring and discussion.

  • Agility & Change Management

This workshop will clarify what agility and agile work are, the role agility plays in group and team dynamics, and how to lead agile teams. Participants will gain an overview of change cycles and processes, understand the intersection between agility and change, and find out how they can manage their team as a leader in times of change and in the different phases of change.

  • Negotiation

This workshop will familiarize the participants with basic negotiation concepts and principles that will guide them to win–win agreements and increase the likelihood of keeping good relations between the parties involved. Building their own negotiation style inventory, participants will practice situations such as saying “no” in a positive way and dealing with power differences, non-verbal behavior and emotions (their own and those of the other party).
