The program starts every September, but since there are only limited places available, we strongly recommend getting in contact with us as early as possible.

Admission Criteria

Learning with and from each other is a central component of the Mannheim MBA. Thus, we constantly seek personalities who enjoy enriching the group with their competences, experiences, and commitment.
The formal criteria at a glance:

  • an internationally recognized academic degree in any discipline (at least a Bachelor’s) – successful candidates will typically possess a min. B+ average in their undergraduate degree, then
  • at least 3 years of postgraduate working experience
  • leadership potential
  • international experience
  • fluency in English (TOEFL with a minimum score of 95, IELTS with a minimum score of 7.0, or equivalent)
  • GMAT necessary (A minimum score of 600 is recommended. From a score of 650, Mannheim Business School will grant you a reduction of €200 to acknowledge your good performance! Please note that this only applies if you are admitted to the MBA program.)*

Admissions Process

  • Step 1: Infosession (recommended)

    We strongly encourage you to visit one of our information sessions, before applying to the program

  • Step 2: Application

    Fill out the Mannheim MBA Application Form, the Company Support Form and the Reference Form and send it together with the required documents to Mannheim Business School

  • Step 3: Selection Interview

    The Admissions Manager will take a holistic view at your application and conduct a personal or web-based interview with you

  • Step 4: Final Decision/Admission

    An admissions decision will be made based on the evaluation of your application package and the selection interview within two weeks.

    Receipt of the admission notification and contract.

    Signature and return of the admission contract to Mannheim Business School.

Tuition Fees

The current course fee is € 39.500.

The fee includes tuition, course material and coffee breaks as well as accomodation during study trips. Added to this, you will have full access to the MBS IT infrastructure (e.g., MBS email account, wireless LAN at course locations, MBS online learning platform) as well as to additional University services, including the library and its (online) databases, the gym, the cafeteria and student clubs.

However, please note that the tuition fee does not include transportation, accomodation and living costs

The application fee is € 130 (non-refundable).

The two-year part-time MBA program will start on September 23, 2019. It is still possible to join the next cohort if you follow these steps:

1. Get in contact with our Admissions Manager Antje Siebler and send her your CV for a preliminary check to
2. If the assessment of your CV is positive, you can reserve an interview appointment for the end of August.
3. Send us your complete application package 5 days prior to your interview appointment.

Please note: GMAT and TOEFL scores can be submitted after a successful interview until the middle of September.

Preview on the Class of 2021

The Class of 2021 is already a very diverse cohort with more than 15 different nationalities from all over the globe – including Belarus, Cameroon, China, Greece, Hong-Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Ukraine.

The 47 participants, who are already in the class, come from a range of industries, among them Manufacturing, Consulting, IT, Pharma, Financial Services, Media, and Consumer Products. With 5.5 years of working experience on average, they cover positions such as Sales Executive, Product Owner, Consultant, Director of Business Development, Hardware Engineer, Asset Performance Analyst Expert, or Editor-in-Chief at companies such as BASF, Bayer, BMW, Camelot Management Consultant, Covestro, Crypvisor, Daimler, d-fine, Freudenberg, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, Integral GmbH Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, Meyer-Burger, Michelin, Nestlé, Rhapsodies Conseil Paris, Rhenus, Roche, Rosneft, SAP, Schenk Process Europe, Siemens, TE-Connectivity, Voith, and Wiley-VCH.

Application Deadlines and Early Bird Offer

The program starts in September. Due to our rolling admission process, you may apply anytime for the next program start in September 2019. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis until we have selected the optimum cohort. Since there are only limited places available, we strongly encourage you to apply as early as possible.

If you apply by the first application deadline (January 31st), you will benefit from a € 3,000 reduction of your tuition fee. Your tuition fee will be reduced by € 2,000 if you apply by the second early bird reduction deadline (April 30th).

MBA education funds with Brain Capital

The Generation Contract of Brain Capital is an innovative model to finance your studies. Under the contract, you can focus on your studies without financial worries. The Generation Contract takes care of the tuition fees and living costs.

  • Initial payment is made on career entry and only with a minimum income of €30.000 for a maximum 10 year income-dependent redemption period.
  • The flexible, income-dependent repayment gives you a lot of flexibility after your graduation. If your income is below € 30.000 in any year after graduation, the payment year is postponed. Also the maximum repayment is limited.
  • We support you with individual career advise before and after graduation (e.g. coaching for job interviews and salary negotiations).
