COBRA Summer School on Empirical Tax Research - fully booked
In July, COBRA will host its first Summer School on Empirical Tax Research, bringing together PhD students and early-career scholars for an intensive academic program focused on current questions and methods in taxation research. The program combines methodological training, exposure to frontier research, and discussions of tax systems as empirical settings, while also creating space for exchange, networking, and participants’ own research development.
Through lectures, research pitches, and feedback sessions, the Summer School will reflect COBRA’s commitment to fostering rigorous, internationally connected research with strong academic relevance and impact.
AI & Code Clinic for Research and Teaching
In May, COBRA hosted the first edition of its AI and Code Clinic for Research and Teaching, two workshops designed for faculty and researchers interested in the use of AI in empirical research. Across two sessions, participants explored how AI agents such as Claude Code can support the research process, discussed practical applications and common pitfalls, and were introduced to new data infrastructure for the research community. The series offered a hands-on forum for learning, exchange, and experimentation, reflecting COBRA’s commitment to advancing innovative and methodologically rigorous research.
