This program is designed for young professionals and junior managers preparing for their first leadership role. To take part, you need to have at least three years of work experience, either with or without an academic degree. You should be about to take up a leadership position or have recently taken up a leadership role and have good English language skills.
This course will help you to develop your leadership skills and become a more effective leader. You will learn how to motivate your team and foster group performance. You will gain an understanding of the value of diversity in the workplace. Finally, you will learn how agile leadership enables effective communication, task distribution, and organizational structure within the team, empowering team members to autonomously, responsibly, and flexibly divide and accomplish their work.
Eric Kearney has been Professor of Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management at the University of Potsdam since 2014. He has taught at numerous German and international universities and business schools. His research on leadership and teamwork has been published in leading scientific journals (e.g., Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Research Methods, Organization Science, Leadership Quarterly, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes). In his talks, keynotes, and workshops, he shows how scientific findings can be highly useful for organizations in their efforts to promote performance and satisfaction. Eric Kearney's research focuses on the leadership of individuals and teams. He is particularly interested in visionary and empowering leadership, as well as how we can leverage the potential of team diversity.
Chris Schäfer is the Founder and Managing Director of Dr. Schäfer & Partner, Munich. He holds a PhD and MSc in Chemistry, as well as an MBA in General Management. He has eight years of international management experience in the global Life Science industry, with a focus on Europe and Asia/Pacific. Additionally, he is a certified Management Trainer and Systemic Coach, as well as a licensed Insights Discovery® and MBTI®-Trainer. He has successfully delivered projects in personnel and organizational development on a global scale. His areas of expertise include leadership training, executive coaching, agile management & agile leadership, strategy development and change management.
